Our founder, Jackie Waldie, has an extensive history with public education. She was an elementary teacher for 12 years for Rapid City Area schools. In that time, she participated in hundreds of IEP meetings, was a technology leader, professional development instructor, curriculum committee advisor, and a SD teacher of the year. She also obtained a Master’s Degree in “Technology and Training in Education”. Jackie has been employed by Pearson as an online writing coach, obtained her certification as a specialist in Dyslexia, and participated in various educational boards and committees.

Throughout these years of experience, she developed ways to help kids and families in and outside of the classroom. She is currently a member of COPAA (Council of Parents, Advocates, and Attorneys) and has recently earned a certificate as a Non-Attorney Advocate from the Institute of Special Education Advocacy from the William and Mary School of Law.
